Announcing our Impact Statistics for 2018/19
Our donors and supporters are increasingly asking what we do with their donations, and how we make a difference to the world’s Rangers. Thin Green Line Foundation is delighted to share an infographic summarising the reach of our programs undertaken in the Australian financial year 2018/19.
Our programs dedicated to train and equip rangers have reached well over 500 individuals in the reporting period, including 50 ranger instructors under the LEAD Ranger Program that have subsequently trained 400 of their peers so far. This was only possible with your generosity, so thanks to all of our supporters for making it happen.
Yet numbers only tell part of the story and these figures are complemented by impact stories from Rangers on the frontlines of conservation via our social media channels, and in our soon-to-be launched 2018/19 Annual Report. Check out this short video from some of our supported Rangers for starters.
“It is such as catalytic organisation. They protect the Rangers and they’re moving conservation forward in a positive manner.” Tim Redford, Freeland Thailand.
With a new Programs strategy in place since July 2019 we are working hard to strengthen our efficiency, transparency and impact, focusing on four pillars of operation: Ranger Equipment; Ranger Training; Supporting Rangers’ Families (including Fallen Rangers); and Connecting Rangers (including an innovative new Junior Ranger initiative to connect Rangers to their communities, and young people to nature through Rangers).
Despite the current global pandemic, we look forward to seeing considerable growth in the statistics for Ranger training, equipment and connections in the current financial year as the ‘four pillars’ strategy kicks in. This ensures we reach more Rangers around the world with quality support, taking our mission to Protect Nature’s Protectors to the next level.
Thanks for your ongoing support!
