World Ranger Day

World Ranger Day is celebrated worldwide each year on July 31st to commemorate Rangers killed or injured in the line of duty and to celebrate the work Rangers do to protect the planet’s natural treasures and cultural heritage.

Find out how you can help

Let’s pause for a moment to reflect on the courage and sacrifice that Rangers make by honouring Fallen Rangers and standing with Rangers who bravely undertake their roles on the frontline of conservation.

World Ranger Day is an initiative of the International Ranger Federation (IRF) promoted with its official charity, The Thin Green Line Foundation.

How to stand with Rangers on World Ranger Day

  • Post on Social Media : Post pictures of yourself, friends and colleagues holding the World Ranger Day sign (see downloadable resources below) and pay tribute to our conservation heroes. Share these pictures with the International Ranger Federation facebook and The Thin Green Line facebook social pages using the hashtags #Standwiththerangers #WorldRangerDay.

  • Honour Fallen Rangers: Pause for a moment on July 31st to honour those Rangers who have made the ultimate sacrifice protecting our planet’s natural treasures and cultural heritage.
